SON AND NEPHEW OF CHICAGO POLICE OFFICERS RONALD HEARD

Heard, 23, was shot five times early last Saturday in a drive-thru lane at a White Castle, Chicago police Sgt. Kevin Duffin said. He was pronounced dead at 7:35 a.m. on Oct 6,

Currently Police are questioning someone of interest in Ronald's death. Ronald came to the aid of a woman, who was being physically attacked by a man engaged in selling drugs at a White Castle restaurant drive thru.
Ronald lost his life in that heroic endeavor.

Ronald Heard was in a car waiting in line at 4 a.m. at 6901 S. Western Ave. when he was approached by the suspect, who asked if he wanted to buy marijuana, Duffin said. Heard said “No” and then watched the suspect approach a second car, asking a woman if she wanted any drugs.

The woman also declined and the suspect grabbed violently at her through the car window, Duffin said. When Heard went to help the woman, the offender shot him twice in the chest and then three times after he fell.

The suspect ran off, jumped into a vehicle and fled, Duffin said.

Psychological testing is more of a liability shield, for municipalities to hide behind, than it is a proven standard for weeding out future potential problems. Peterson was 20 years old, his girlfriend was only 18. From appearances he still processed his thoughts closer, to being a teenager than an adult. Rejection played a very strong roll in his actions. He was also a part-time Officer with very little exposure. He felt an immense sense of rejection then remorse. Yes, he lost control and his loss ended in an enormous tragedy, all the way around. Could this tragedy have been prevented through pre-hiring psychological testing, we doubt it.

Kegley a friend and co-worker said Peterson came to his door about five hours after the rampage early Sunday and calmly told him what happened.

"He wasn't running around crazy or anything. He was very, very sorry for what he did," said Kegley, adding that he gave Peterson coffee and food and later made repeated calls to 911.

It was unclear whether Peterson was shot by police, took his own life or was wounded and then shot himself.

Tyler Peterson, 20, lost control when they got into an argument and her friends began calling him a "worthless pig," Mike Kegley told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

CHICAGO IL. SEPT. 26, 2007—-A Chicago Police officer facing charges of running a robbery crew with fellow cops is now charged in federal court with trying to arrange the murder of a former officer who was prepared to testify against him, prosecutors said.
Jerome Finnigan, 44, was arrested today and charged with using a telephone to commit murder-for-hire.

Finnigan allegedly talked about hiring street gang members to kill the officer for $5,000 in what he described as a “paint job.”
Last Friday, Finnigan told the co-defendant he found someone to kill the officer and needed a photo for the hitman to identify his target, the FBI said.
On Sunday, Finnigan told the co-defendant that he was considering killing a second officer he also thought was cooperating with authorities, prosecutors said. He allegedly spoke of having them “taken care of.”

He also wrote down on a piece of paper the names of two other officers he correctly speculated were cooperating with authorities against him, prosecutors said.

PHOENIX POLICE OFFICER NICK ERFLE MURDERED BY ILLEGAL

Phoenix police Officer Nick Erfle survived two bouts of cancer to put back on his uniform and patrol the city's streets. Erfle had been an officer for eight years. He was pronounced dead at 9:30 a.m. He was a husband and a father of two boys ages 3 and 5.

On Tuesday, a jaywalker shot him in the face and killed him. Martinez shoved Erfle to the ground, pulled a gun and fired multiple times. Police said it all happened in a matter of seconds.

The illegal offender didn't have identification but gave officers a name and birth date that Erfle ran through a police computer. That search turned up a misdemeanor warrant for shoplifting out of Tucson.
Police would later find out the man hadn't given his real name. Martinez likely used an alias because he was trying to hide the fact he had felony warrants for aggravated assault and false imprisonment, stemming from a 2006 domestic-violence incident.

The gunman, an illegal immigrant who had been deported last year, fled after shooting Erfle, commandeering a stopped car at gunpoint and ordering the motorist to drive. About an hour later, a Phoenix police tactical team surrounded Erik Jovani Martinez, 22, on a west Phoenix street and shot him dead as he pointed a gun at the hostage. The hostage was not hurt.

Martinez, who had three children, was a gang member with a history of drug abuse, police say. He was convicted of theft in 2004 and served a short stint in prison in 2006. Immigration officials confirmed he had been deported in March 2006.

HOMELESS WOMAN BEATEN TO DEATH BY TWO HISPANIC MALES

Channel 2 News has just put out a story of an incident that happened on May 14th. A homeless woman was beaten and kicked so severely by two offender's, in the parking lot of Lawrence Fisheries on Canal Street. That it caused her death on the 15th of May.

The first suspect is described as Hispanic, between 200 and 250 pounds, bald with a dark beard and mustache and wearing a black T-shirt.

The second suspect is also Hispanic, between 145 and 170 pounds with a shaved head and possibly a mustache.

The vehicle they were driving was a General Motors SUV four-door with 22- or 24-inch chrome rims.

The men beat Alicia Foster to death after a brief exchange outside a restaurant on the Near South Side, police said. Foster died from blunt force trauma, police said.

The images were taken from a security tape at Lawrence's Fisheries, 2120 S. Canal, on May 15.

The outside footage shows the two men walking by Foster, who was sitting on steps, and exchanging words with her. The men then get in an SUV briefly before they get back out and beat her with their hands and feet.

Foster died the next day.

There didn't appear to be any motive for the beating, police said.

Foster's last known address was in the 1700 block of East 72nd Street

NEWARK NEW JERSEY 3 TEENS EXECUTED ONE STABBED AND SHOT

NEWARK, N.J. - Three friends were forced to kneel against a wall behind an elementary school and were shot to death at close range, and a fourth was found about 30 feet away with gunshot and knife wounds to her head, police said.

All were from Newark and planned to attend Delaware State University this fall and all said they were coming right back home at 10:30 P.M. They said they were just going for something to eat. None were said to have criminal records. The teens were behind a building listening to music when they began texting each other, saying they should leave when gradually approached by a group of unknown men, who shot and stabbed Natasha and then forced the three other teens down a alley, where they lined them up making them kneel facing the wall, then killing each one in execution style. With a close range shot to their heads.

Natasha Aerial, 19, was listed in fair condition at Newark's University Hospital, authorities said. Police identified her companions as her brother, Terrance Aerial, 18, Ofemi Hightower, 20, and Deshawn Harvey, 20.

Officer Cortez responded to call, regarding a suspect trying to cash a fraudulent check. As Officer Cortez placed one cuff on the suspect, the 20 year old male suspect pulled a gun and shot Cortez. Officer Cortez was 23 years of age and leaves behind a wife and two young sons.

Police then responded to a house in South Phoenix, in pursuit of the offender's and after a stand-off with Police, the offender along with his girlfriend were arrested.

TACOMA, Wash. - A Thai immigrant convicted of incest led investigators to the body of a 12-year-old girl who had been missing since the Fourth of July, and is expected to be charged in her death, authorities said Friday.

Police are also trying to determine whether Terapon Adhahn, 42, is connected to other missing child cases that date back to 1986.

A search of the Parkland home south of Tacoma where Adhahn had been staying turned up "girl's undergarments," according to a search warrant return.

The cases being reviewed by police date back more than 20 years. Michella Welch, 12, of Tacoma, was found dead hours after the girl disappeared from a park on March 26, 1986. Later that year, Jennifer Bastian, 13, of Tacoma, was found dead in a park where she'd been last seen riding her bicycle two weeks earlier.

Other cases under review by authorities include a 4-year-old who vanished in 1995 and a 10-year old who vanished last year.

Adhahn, a legal permanent resident of the U.S., could not have been deported for the incest conviction because it was not an aggravated felony and it was his first offense, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia Kice said Friday. But a 1992 conviction for intimidation with a dangerous weapon could have made him deportable, and Adhahn was being held this week on an immigration complaint. He also was charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

AKRON, Ohio - A body found at the end of a days-long search for a nearly nine months pregnant woman is indeed hers, The body found Saturday in a park was that of 26-year-old Jessie Davis, whose due date was July 3. The other horrid story is, a mother and her three children, 13, 11 and 8 were found shot to death, the children shot multiple times. The man arrested, the husband and the father of the children. Both of these stories give the appearance of cold and calculating horrific acts which may not be, strong enough words for these double tragic events, with so many victims.

Investigators said during a press conference Saturday afternoon Vaughn used a 9mm gun in the shooting that killed his wife and three children. Will County's State's Attorney James Glasgow said the gun was purchased by Vaughn from a store in Washington state.
