court them. United Neighborhood Organization(UNO)behind the Charter schools one of Daley's pet projects and they have been shaping Chicago for years. Check out some of the players names.This is an older story and their even stronger today, think Sanctuary city which started approximately 3 weeks after Daley got into office he turned a 1989 executive order on immigration into law..
25th Ward Alderman Danny Solis was no stranger to the radical politics of the 1970s when he helped start UNO in 1980. By that time, Solis had co-founded Latino Youth Alternative High School on the Southwest Side. “When I ran Latino Youth high school, I had Marxists, Maoists, anarchists, leftists, teaching there,” said Solis.
Others pointed out UNO was also close to Harold Washington and other mayors, including assisting Daley into office. “They put Harold Washington on a pedestal,” Washington appointed an UNO member as a City College trustee and rewarded the group with insider access to police data.
Since 2003, the group has received more than $1 million in city contracts.
As a nonprofit, UNO is kept from direct politicking. But the plucky group owes its rapid growth to its shrewd political alliances and its ability to provide cover for politicians as a community voice.
As Chicago’s Latino communities have grown and matured, there are roughly four groups that have power in the city. Citywide, there is the HDO and UNO. In Little Village, there is a faction allied to 22nd Ward Alderman Ricardo Muñoz and Garcia, a former state senator. And, on the Northwest Side, a group of largely Puerto Rican politicians is allied to U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez.

By a 45-0 vote, Mayor Richard M. Daley and the City Council approved a resolution March 13 calling on President Bush to issue a moratorium immediately on all immigration raids and deportations. Of course it did not reflect the criminal behaviour of being in the country illegally.Alderman Flores introduced the resolution along with Aldermen Danny Solis (25th Ward), Ed Burke 14th Ward), Billy Ocasio (26th Ward and/Ricardo Munoz (22nd Ward)>
The resolution condemns the recent nationwide escalation of raids and deportations, including 17 workers currently being held in Chicago with excessive bonds.
Also reaffirms the city council’s support for the introduction of a private bill granting legal permanent residency for Elvira Arellano, a single mother fighting deportation, and others like her.
WE SAY MAYOR DALEY OWES BIG TIME AND CITY COUNCIL DOES ALSO!

CHICAGO'S OWN MILITANT CONGRESSMAN LUIS GUTIERREZ
Were going provide some serious background on Congressman Luis Gutierrez, who just happens to be a Chicago name and a man who has never renounced his relationship to (F.A.L.N.) PUERTO RICAN (DOMESTIC) TERRORISTS -- THAT IS, Las Fuersa Armadas para La Liberacion National --or-- The Armed Forces for National Liberation [of Puerto Rico]. A background Luis would rather you not recall or know ABOUT but something we shall not forget.
Luis Gutierrez was born in Chicago in 1953. He graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 1975, returned to his ancestral home Puerto Rico to teach for two years, then returned to Chicago and worked as a cab driver and social worker. From 1984 to 1986 he was an advisor to the city's first African-American Mayor Harold Washington, and in 1986 won election to one of two new gerrymandered Hispanic-majority seats as Alderman. In 1992, with Daley machine backing for the newly-gerrymandered district seat in Congress, Gutierrez won with 60 percent of the vote and has held the seat since then
Congressman Gutierrez is a member of the radical Progressive Caucus in the House of Representatives and is one of the leading members of the Hispanic Caucus. The leftwing Americans for Democratic Action rates his voting record 95 percent on the left side of legislation.
Gutierrez proposed legislation granting amnesty and legal status by 2007 to all illegal immigrants who entered the United States prior to February 7, 2001. He has worked to restore Food Stamp and other welfare benefits to illegal aliens.
Rep. Gutierrez was one of 14 Democrats in 2002 who refused to support a resolution condemning the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional and had to be prohibited in public schools and other government forums because it contained the words "under God."
In 1999 Gutierrez worked with fellow Puerto Rico-connected lawmakers and Progressive Caucus members Nydia Velazquez (D.-New York) and Jose Serrano (D.-New York) to pressure Democratic President Bill Clinton to free convicted FALN terrorists whose bombs had killed six men, women and children and had blinded or maimed several police officers. Gutierrez pressed President Clinton to pardon even those FALN killers who refused to express remorse for their terrorist acts. These are not acts of terrorism. The individuals are not terrorists," he told the House. The House Committee on Government Reform said the issue was "top priority" for Gutierrez. Pardons? Clemency? As they were being released, the terrorists shouted threats at the judge. According to a federal transcript, one of them yelled, "You are lucky that we cannot take you right now. Our people will continue to use righteous violence. Revolutionary justice can be fierce, mark my words."
Gutierrez's campaign contributions come mostly from organized labor.

The “work plan” details 24 specific “deliverables” by officials from the U.S. Treasury, Finance Canada, BANXICO, the Federal Reserve Board – Atlanta, and regulatory agencies from all three countries. The deliverables include “cross-border” cooperation in the areas of car insurance, Social Security totalization for Mexico, banking, and Federal Reserve’s “Directo a Mexico” remittance program

You were warned of being sold out and you now need to pronto get on the ball and fight this one hard ball. Ah, they had your attention distracted fully on the poor immigrant march ploys, tsk, tsk. We also suggest putting some of your hard earned cash to assist organization's such as Judicial Watch and others who have been ringing the bells. Ring up those phones it's time for no nonsense action.

How many of you keep up with current events?
N. Y. Police Dept. is under the microscope of the Media. Much of which appears to be in part to bad Political decisions and passing on those decisions through comments before the media. By bestowing his comments in an apparent haphazard manner. Mayor Bloombergs comments appear to be causing harm and one has to wonder exactly how much damage his comments are costing the citizens of New York and the Officers of N.Y.P.D... What message has he really sent out?
