CHICAGO ALDERWOMAN RUGAI DENIES BEING AT DINNER MEETING

Firefighters union local 2, who do you believe? This outcome bears watching, growl and grumble goin on and could go either way. Any video or witness's floating around on this one, were just wonderin.
Virginia Rugai is alderman of the 19th ward in Chicago; she was appointed by Mayor Richard M. Daley in 1990.

Chwarzynski, 41, is a lieutenant and an 18-year veteran of the department. Chwarzynski said he will end his legal practice when he takes office.

When the union president was questioned about the expense at an Aug. 22 board meeting, he said he had gone to dinner with Ald. Ginger Rugai (19th,) she is currently running up against John Somerville who the media likes to try and ignore. Media attempts to make Somerville a not so. That's called a play down with machination banjo strings, twang, snap! This is a technique we can see played across various machmaniac wards through out Chicago during elections.

Rugai has told the Sun-Times she didn't go to dinner with Chwarzynski.
Extravagant dinner. So whose lyin an whose tellin the truth?

The union's executive board has voted to strip embattled union president John Chwarzynski of his "detached service status" as one of three firefighters whose salaries are paid by the union.
The board voted to endorse mayoral challenger Dorothy Brown over the strenuous objections of Chwarzynski, who wanted the union to endorse Mayor Daley.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported last month that 11 of Local 2's 13 executive board members

had signed a certified letter to their international union accusing Chwarzynski of fraud, financial malfeasance and a host of other violations of the union's constitution and bylaws.
The international union's general president, Harold A. Schaitbarger, has since agreed to put Chwarzynski on trial, a move that could cut short a term with more than a year to run.
The charges include filing a fraudulent expense report that allowed Chwarzynski to be reimbursed for an extravagant dinner for two at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
