CHICAGO POLICE TOP DOG BILLING K-9

We didn't get the seek and search sniff partners name but he does happen to be Officer Wallace's partner. This Canine Officer and his partner take top billing this morning for saving a life!

January 13, 2007 - An Alzheimer's patient who had disappeared was tracked down and rescued thanks to a Chicago police dog. 79-year-old Arthur Kolakowski left his Northwest Side home Tuesday night to walk to a nearby store, but didn't return.

Worried relatives searched the area, and passed out flyers with Kolakowski's picture. Police joined the hunt, and checked hospitals and city agencies.
On Friday they took two dogs to a nearby woods. One detected Kolakowski's scent and found him, lying near a path freezing and barely conscious.

"He had his ski cap pulled over his face, apparently to keep warm. He had one glove on one hand, and his other hand was visibly shaking. And you could just tell he was very cold," said Officer Paul Wallace, Police K-9 Unit.
"Apparently he had tripped and fallen into the underbrush.
