Originally the FEDs Couldn't find Alderwoman Troutmans taped reference of a 20th Ward Women's Auxiliary Committee listed anywhere. Apparently that was all due to the set up for funneling money, some of which just happened to be the 15,000.00 bribe and it went straight to her (Mother and her siblings) of course under her personal organization known as the 20th Ward Women's Auxiliary.

CHICAGO -- Aldermen said on Tuesday they were upset about one of their fellow alderman's description of the city council.

"Now, we have another element in every one of our campaigns -- this perception that we're all crooks," said Alderman Freddrenna Lyle of the 6th Ward. "Which is the furthest thing from the truth." On Monday, Alderman Arenda Troutman was arrested on suspicion of bribery. Federal agents said she had accepted a $5,000 bribe. According to government tapes, there are recordings of Troutman saying that, "well, the thing is, most aldermen, most politicians are hos." "It's called human frailty," Mayor Richard M. Daley said. "It's human individuals. It's wrong, they violate the public trust -- this is taxpayers' money. It doesn't reflect all aldermen, it doesn't reflect all public officials, you know that."
