Based upon a supporting letter from (The International Association Chiefs of Police) expressing its opposition to compelling local law enforcement agencies to enforce Federal Immigration laws GIVES FIRE for the Cook County Resolution move. known as Sanctuary County No County Enforcement Officer or Employee will be allowed to address an individuals legal status. If they do it will be handled by the Inspector General and Human Rights Commission for action. All internal forms by Cook County and pertinent agencies with questions, applications, interviews used for County benefits, opportunities and services will be deleted within 60 days, exempt Federal Regulation, Ordinance and Court Decree. Wording is in consonance with Chicago Police Superintendent Executive General Order available in the County Office for review.
