NORMAN HSU THE "HILL RAISER" A FUGITIVE AND DEMOCRATIC FUNDRAISER PLUS

California authorities have sought businessman Norman Hsu for 15 years. Since 2004, he has carved out a place of honor raising cash for such candidates as Hillary Rodham Clinton. What an amazing group and they flaunt him as the cash cow. Keep reading, if this isn't sickening enough there's also another fugitive among our elected officials, keep reading. How did these guys evade the law so long in plain view in the public eye and while hob-knobing with the elite politicians. Its clear why we have lost complete faith in just about all of the politicians mentioned here in this story and more seem to keep popping up. Their answer, we didn't know. Come on now, with all the insider connections they have.

Official “HillRaiser’’ Norman Hsu has been a fugitive from the law since the early 1990s when he accepted a three-year prison sentence in California for grand theft but instead disappeared. Hsu received the jail time for cheating investors out of
$1 million to purportedly operate a business that never existed.

In the years that he has avoided the law Hsu has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for top Democrats, including California Senator Dianne Feinstein, Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy, Illinois Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama and, of course Clinton. In fact, to earn the coveted title of “HillRaiser” Hsu promised to raise at least $100,000 for her presidential campaign.

Although Hsu is wanted by California authorities and he is officially a fugitive in the state, the businessman hasn’t exactly been hiding. He has kept a high public profile, participating in big Democratic fundraisers at fancy venues and allowing the photos to be posted on political web sites.

This isn’t the first big Clinton donor who is a fugitive from the law. A wealthy Pakistani businessman who funneled thousands of dollars in illegal contributions to her campaign actually appears on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s most wanted list.

Abdul Rehman Jinnah lived in Southern California and fled the country after federal prosecutors charged him with conspiracy and illegal campaign contributions to various Democratic senators. Not surprisingly, Clinton and her fellow Democrats—including California Senator Barbara Boxer--said they had no idea that their lucrative donor was violating the law.

Hsu remembers the episode as part of a settlement with creditors when he also went through bankruptcy YA GOT TO BE KIDDING WHAT A CHAPTER 7, 11 WHAT?

NEW YORK - A seven-alarm fire ripped through an abandoned skyscraper next to ground zero in Lower Manhattan Saturday, killing two firefighters who were responding to the blaze.

One of the firefighters killed was identified as Joseph Graffagnino, 34, of Brooklyn. He was a member of Ladder 5, which lost 11 members on Sept. 11, 2001.

The name of the other slain firefighter was not immediately released because officials were not able to reach his family, Bloomberg said.

Five or six other firefighters were taken to a hospital but were expected to be released, Bloomberg said. No civilians were hurt.

former Deutsche Bank office building, vacant since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks turned it into a toxic nightmare

Construction crews had already dismantled 14 of the building's 40 stories — reaching the 26th floor on Tuesday. Some firefighters used stairs to reach the burning upper floors of the building, just steps from where 343 firefighters lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The plume of gray smoke that trailed above the site of the World Trade Center raised concerns that toxic substances in the building could be spreading.
******************************
We were here in less than three and a half minutes. There were 87 units, 475 firefighters, fight a truly difficult fire, because of the smoke conditions as well as the fire. We had to lift lines from the street, with ropes in order to get it up to the 17th floor, because that building, being under demolition, being in the condition that it is. …
Terrible event, terrible tragedy — that house being hit again makes it all the more devastating.
