SHERIFF JOE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT NOW

ACORN has used the Internet to generate negative letters about and against Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

As your aware this Sheriff enforces the 287-g law and was trained by ICE aka Fed's to enforce our immigration laws. There is an orchestrated political attack against Sheriff Joe along with his Deputies. Please take the time to lend your support behind all these Police Officers. ACORN and the pro-amnesty crowd have stained the Internet with plenty of negative comments and blogs against this Police agency the Maricopa County Police in Arizona. Don't continue to let them battle down South alone, please consider supporting our fellow Officers any way you can.....

Arpaio's attorneys wrote to Obama administration officials, questioning whether investigators followed ethics rules in launching the probes this year.

Robert N. Driscoll, a District-based lawyer for Maricopa County who served as a civil rights official at the Justice Department early in the George W. Bush era, said he was seeking "assurances that political rivalries and score settling played no role in the investigations."

In his letter, Driscoll said that a civil rights probe of the Arpaio operation began in early March, weeks after four influential Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee called for an investigation into alleged discrimination and possible constitutional violations in arrests and in police searches and seizures.

The investigation appeared on a list of accomplishments the Justice Department prepared for reporters in April, after the Obama administration had been in office 100 days. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. has said that reinvigorating the enforcement of civil rights laws is a high priority.

The civil rights unit at the Justice Department has itself been a focus of intense interest. In a report this year, the department's inspector general uncovered ideological motivations behind the hiring and transfer of career lawyers during part of the Bush administration.

THANK GOD FREE AT LAST (RAMOS AND COMPEAN)

Mexico's Deputy Secretary for Foreign Relations Carlos Rico condemned the decision and said Mexican officials had lobbied hard against it.
"This is a message of impunity," Rico said at a news conference. "It's difficult to understand."

Its not hard to understand it was unjust! That is putting it mildly! We wish Officers Ramos, Compeano and their families a early WELCOME HOME. We have a lot of work still at hand. God Bless You and yours.

The border agents' case became a rallying cause for conservatives concerned about border protection. On talk shows, people sympathetic with the agents argued that the men were just doing their jobs, defending the U.S.-Mexico border against criminals.

WASHINGTON – In his final acts of clemency, President George W. Bush on Monday granted early prison releases to two former U.S. Border Patrol agents whose convictions for shooting a Mexican drug dealer fueled the national debate over illegal immigration.

Compean, 32, and Ramos, 39, were sentenced to 12 years and 11 years in prison, respectively. They each have served about two years. Under the terms of Bush's commutation, their prison sentences will expire on March 20, but their three-year terms of supervised release and the fines will remain intact.

Bush, responding to heavy pressure from Republican and Democratic lawmakers alike, commuted the prison sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.Compean and Ramos were convicted of shooting admitted drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete Davila in the buttocks as he fled across the Rio Grande, away from an abandoned van load of marijuana. He remains in a low-security prison in Fort Worth, Texas.
