Off duty Chicago police officer found dead

CHICAGO (AP) - An autopsy was planned today for an off-duty Chicago police officer who was found dead after he apparently fell off his third-story front porch on the city's near South Side.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has identified the dead officer as 36-year-old Al Hernandez, and a police spokesman said Hernandez had been with the department for ten years -- the last two as an evidence technician.
