CHICAGO POLICE SUPERINTENDENTS SON COOK COUNTY EMPLOYEE ROBBED CELL AND MONEY?

TWO MEN AND ONE WOMEN NABBED AND CELL PHONE RECOVERED. There were sensitive numbers in cell not sure about cash?

Timothy R. Cline, a (civilian Cook County employee) of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, was not injured in the mugging, although the suspects who robbed him attempted to spray him with pepper spray, police said.

Bond said additional police were assigned to the case because it was a mugging on the "L," and police believed it might be part of a pattern of robberies. She said the suspects, who have histories of gang involvement, are being investigated for other robberies

The robbery happened about 9:30 p.m. on an "L" train headed west, between the Racine and Western Avenue stops, Bond said.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said numerous police officers were redirected to work the robbery, patrolling the area along the Blue Line, which travels along the Eisenhower Expressway across the West Side.

There was some concern of sensitive information or phone numbers related to drug-trafficking investigations being compromised by the theft of the phone, the source said. However, Bond said no information was compromised.
