CHICAGO SHOOTING 10TH DISTRICT 1 KILLED 2 WOUNDED SOUTH SIDE

The owner of the restaurant Cirilo Jaramillio said there has been no past violence in his restaurant. He further related there has been a lot of problems with Gangs within the neighborhood and said "Police have not been vigilant and he wished they would step up Patrol." Available Stats show otherwise. On beat 1013 in the Marquette District and within a quarter of a mile and better of the restaurant there has been approximately 11 varying crimes documented between 11-15 Dec. but not a shooting like this.

A 15-year-old boy was killed and two other teens were wounded this evening in a shooting at a pizzeria in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.The victims, all males, were shot around 6:40 p.m. at Pizza Nova, 3704 W. 26th St., Chicago police said.

"At least one person opened up the door and fired a handgun into the restaurant, striking [the victims] inside the restaurant," said Chicago police Officer John Mirabelli.The 15-year-old was dead at the scene and the other teens, ages 18 and 19, were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with non life-threatening wounds, police said. Authorites could not immediately provide the victims' identities.
