Arpaio's attorneys wrote to Obama administration officials, questioning whether investigators followed ethics rules in launching the probes this year.

Robert N. Driscoll, a District-based lawyer for Maricopa County who served as a civil rights official at the Justice Department early in the George W. Bush era, said he was seeking "assurances that political rivalries and score settling played no role in the investigations."

In his letter, Driscoll said that a civil rights probe of the Arpaio operation began in early March, weeks after four influential Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee called for an investigation into alleged discrimination and possible constitutional violations in arrests and in police searches and seizures.

The investigation appeared on a list of accomplishments the Justice Department prepared for reporters in April, after the Obama administration had been in office 100 days. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. has said that reinvigorating the enforcement of civil rights laws is a high priority.

The civil rights unit at the Justice Department has itself been a focus of intense interest. In a report this year, the department's inspector general uncovered ideological motivations behind the hiring and transfer of career lawyers during part of the Bush administration.

US-Mexico relations is immigration. Obama reiterated his commitment to legalization of Mexican undocumented workers established north of the border, while paying some penalties. LOL, some penalties, is that akin to buying your way in. Purchase your way to the front line, hey it works in Chicago why not take it abroad.

Recent news stories not here though, indicate that Obama is moving on this commitment. Calderón offered no concrete proposals to generate or preserve jobs in areas of high expulsion nor did Obama offer proposals in this crucial area. Maybe we need to read that line again. In the meantime Napolitano was seen hanging out in Nogle, AZ for her newest move to heavily inspect South bound traffic into Mexico. South bound not North bound, all types of new gadgets being incorporated for those trying to get back into Mexico at the border crossing. For who though, Mexico and were paying for it via taxes and on Mexico's side again. That's not even adding in all the equations of tossing even more money into corrupt hands for the drug war on Mexico's side either. LIMITED DUTY POLICE CHICAGO PULLS A FAST ONE

Our opinion does not represent legal advice, please obtain an attorney either for yourself or as a class action suit if needed.

To our understanding the City of Chicago Police Department (Medical Service Section) is once again attempting to change their Limited Duty program. We will use the term limited as a cover for both IOD or Non-IOD injuries or illness. Understand per (ADA) Americans Disability Act, there is no difference between the two categories and there are a myriad of other laws also involved in reference to disabilities, discrimination, hostile work environments, age and gender discrimination, etc., which we feel the city will also attempt to circumvent; which should be of no surprise to anyone.

It also appears that FOP is cooperating with the city in their pursuit of eliminating the number of Officer's on limited duty as well as the Officer's contractual rights in the usage of their sick time, IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER. The conduct the city (Medical Section is taking is problematic) and could be viewed as punitive actions. Officer's will be punished for a Doctor's delay in what the city demands, even if there is adequate certification already on file (added layer.) FOP will take the stance the city has a right to alter the program and the FOP will not assist with ADA issue's. The city is circumventing the Officer and going directly to the Doctor. Be careful, the city may very well be involved in attempting to violate your privacy. Which makes us additionally curious as to what is currently being negotiated, in regard to medical benefits at the contract table.

***The Medical Section to our understanding has introduced a (new form) for doctors, to further address the officer's limited duty status and time off. This form appears to be thrown into the vague certification mold, on top of the already required Doctors prescribed notes and the annual certification prescribed letter, which confirms the Officer's remaining in a limited duty status. In other words, the city has decided to add another layer to an already acceptable certified prescription process, per current General/Special Orders, and article 18.6 of your contract book and is forcing officers to now also (foot that bill.) IS THIS NOT A CONTRACT VIOLATION? This does appear to be an effort by the city to remove Officer's from the Medical Roll, as well as Limited Duty positions, either through return to Full Duty, Disability, return to limited duty or a Forced Retirement. Either way it appears the intent, is to dissolve the number of limited duty officers.

While the city has a duty and a right to manage their limited duty program, don't doubt they will not attempt to do it heavy handed and improperly. Remember their past conduct before the arbitrator over our now current contract.

In furthering our opinion, the city would first need to justify the number of officer's who are full duty and performing administrative duty desk jobs. We are all fully aware that there are numerous positions which are held by full duty officer's in this respect and the city's past practice of limited duty program is long standing. Lawsuits have also been won against the city but the city will pull a fast one, (trimming the ranks) when the opportunity prevails itself. On addressing the bid positions which each district, unit and watch holds these positions would not be an immediate issue but will be upon the reassignments of the limited duty officer's, if reassignments were to occur. Limited Duty officer's do retain bid rights. Its only in (ARPS) Alternate Response per contract that bidding rights are virtually exempt, except for (watch) bids which become available (after) being (assigned/detailed)to the unit for (two years.) On obtaining additional bid positions. FOP STILL maintains the HOG Theory, Hogs get slaughtered, Pigs get fed. One CURIOUS question, Who are the Pigs?

In short one of our other opinions on the above subject is in the least: A person will have been the victim of harassment where, for a reason which relates to that disabled person's disability, they have been subjected to unwanted conduct which has the purpose (intentionally) or 'effect' (unintentionally) of violating the disabled person's dignity, or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for them.
The conduct will only have the 'effect' of violating the disabled person's dignity, or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment, if, and only if, having regard to all the circumstances, including in particular the perception of the disabled person, it should reasonably be considered as having that effect.

The second part of the definition comes into play where an 'intention' to harass cannot be shown, i.e. any offence or damage caused was purely unintentional and the conduct was not intended to offend, but nevertheless, it had the 'effect' of doing so. Punitive degrading actions at best, could we expect anything less of the City (MEDICAL SERVICE SECTION?)

Officer's seek legal advice immediately. FOP appears to be of no avail and may very well ill advise, unintentionally or otherwise?

Sunday night, Andrew Williams was shot to death at his home near 83rd Ave. and Encanto in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to a police report, 25-year-old Manual Garcia-Trejo, Daniel Garcia-Saenz, 24, and Rodolfo Madrigal Lopez, 19 each face a charge of 1st degree murder in Williams' death.

One of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

All were dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

Police Superintendent Jody Weis is replacing 22 district police commanders as well as another 21 upper management commanders, NBC5's Mary Ann Ahern reported Thursday.

Yeah we already knew. Replacing 22 district commanders out of 25 districts? That's not a shake up its a slaughter-dice and slice along with 21 changes in upper management? So does this mean that approximately 22 District Commanders were barely worth their salt? Some may have been laterally moved and or promoted but 22, and then 21 upper management changes added to the equation?

Clearly the message is OK boss now tow the line. The old way of doing business is now over. Yeah right! The majority of well connected will remain connected. Did someone give Jody a baton to go along with that play uniform? Were not busting balls, the average officer does not respect or appreciate seeing the uniform on Jody. Reminder Jody may be a Sup but he is still a civilian and more respect would be allocated if he acted like the civilian manager that he is. That's correct, the average everyday working officer feels this way.

We would have been better assured if Jody had also included all the true dead weight collecting dust and actually addressed manpower checks and balances in districts and units to actually bring patrol up to par immediately. You know those are the officer's wheeling vehicles, using clip boards along with out dated inoperable equipment putting their life on the line daily in an effort to respond to all those citizens request for service.

Did Jody instruct the new settees to clean up their numbers and show accountability? Or was it just a new sheriff in town move? Were waiting to see how this really demonstrates a true change in our day to day operations. After all every new boss nominates new players, were just saying.

Teams of federal agents swooped down on up to 10 close associates of the Rev. Al Sharpton Wednesday, demanding the flamboyant clergyman's financial records since 2001.

Sharpton's former chief of staff said he was roused at his Harlem home about 6:30 a.m. by two FBI agents who handed him a subpoena to bring the records to a federal grand jury the day after Christmas.

Several employees of Sharpton's National Action Network also got wakeup subpoenas to testify before the Brooklyn panel, the rabble-rousing reverend's lawyer said.

The FBI and IRS are investigating whether Sharpton improperly misstated the amount of money he raised during his 2004 White House run to illegally obtain federal matching funds, a source familiar with the probe said.

Sharpton, although forced to return $100,000 in matching taxpayer funds after an investigation two years ago, denied any wrongdoing at the time.

The feds are also looking into allegations of tax fraud, including whether Sharpton commingled funds from his nonprofit National Action Network with several of his for-profit ventures, the source said.

Lawyer Michael Hardy shrugged off the probe, which sought a vast array of business, political and personal records, as a federal fishing expedition.

After several false starts Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) continues to push the DREAM Act. What is the DREAM Act?
A nightmare.

The act would have allowed any illegal immigrant who entered the country before the age of 16 to receive conditional residency, which could then be converted to a non-conditional residency. These illegal immigrants can apply for this form of amnesty so long as they are under 30 and they weren’t older than 16 when they came to the country. And, of course, there is no way of proving when they illegally entered our country. After all, they are undocumented. Aliens would qualify even if they received and ignored a removal order if that order was received before they were 16.

Essentially, the DREAM Act puts some illegal aliens in a better position for residency than legal aliens who have played by the rules.

In addition to this stealth amnesty, the DREAM Act, would repeal a portion of the 1996 federal immigration law that prohibits any state from offering in-state college tuition rates to illegal aliens.

We have our bouts and retorts with Mayor Daley and when credit is due, we will also extend it. Mayor Daley you stepped up and recently supported the image of Chicago Police Officers and the unfairness of a few Aldermen towards our officers, thank you.

Since we don't want you thinking, we've fallen fast asleep Mayor Daley. While your on that roll in your efforts to defend and support us. How about taking on Al Sharpton who is also being supported by the Democrats, particularly Obama and Clinton? On that note, will you also rethink your Safe Sanctuary policies and free up our reins. Your stubborn stance, is actually harming the city and its citizens.

We will not forget the death or injury, to any fellow officer at the hands of either, criminal citizens or unknown illegal alien criminals. This issue is a serious bone of contention within the police community and it will not go silently away. Giving a so called sermon, preaching about marching on City Hall and holding an all-night vigil outside the mayor's home. While using igniting insulting words for and about the police. Three kidnapped from Chicago brought to Oxbow Park in Hammond Indiana. Third victim survived. $25,000 reward for information that leads to identifying and the arrest of the people who are responsible for a kidnapping of both a 36 year old man and a 13 year old boy from Chicago.

Three of the victims were removed from the trunk, forced to kneel and then all were shot in the head. The only one to survive was the third victim. Sanchez died at the scene and Mendoza died three days later. The third victim played dead until the kidnappers fled the scene and then he was able to make it to a nearby nightclub to get help. The victim's car was found several days later parked on the 1300 block of North Monticello in Chicago.

The first kidnapper has been described by witnesses as being a black male about 25 to 30 years old, 5'7" tall with a medium build and short beard and mustache. He was described as wearing a brown hooded sweater with gold lettering, a black cap and black pants.

The second one is described as a black male 25 to 30 years old, 6'1" medium build with a mustache and short beard. He was described as wearing a gray polo shirt, black cap and black pants.

MEXICO MILITARY TROOPS INCURSIONS INSIDE US BORDER

What do you call the actions of Mexico's Military inside our borders and attacking our troops? Yeah, lets just wrap it up and make it peachy keen, and call it the war on drugs. They can't control their own Military, and they sure can't control their smugglers. We can't control our own borders or laws either, Mexico says so.

Mexican soldiers and civilian smugglers had an armed standoff with nearly 30 U.S. law enforcement officials on the Rio Grande in Texas Monday afternoon, according to Texas police and the FBI.

Mexican Army troops had several mounted machine guns on the ground more than 200 yards inside the U.S. border — near Neely’s Crossing, about 50 miles east of El Paso — when Border Patrol agents called for backup. Hudspeth County deputies and Texas Highway patrol officers arrived shortly afterward, Doyal said.

“It’s been so bred into everyone not to start an international incident with Mexico that it’s been going on for years,” Doyal said. “When you’re up against mounted machine guns, what can you do? Who wants to pull the trigger first? Certainly not us.” *snip*

Doyal said deputies captured one vehicle in the incident, a Cadillac Escalade reportedly stolen from El Paso, and found 1,477 pounds of marijuana inside. The Mexican soldiers set fire to one of the Humvees stuck in the river, he said.

COPREZ COFFIE WINS OFFICERS ON LOSING END

Coffie and his mother said the officers should be fired.

The head of the Police Department's Office of Professional Standards, which earlier had cleared the officers of any wrongdoing, said Tuesday she now will re-open the investigation, as required by the city's new ordinance governing her office

The Chicago Police Department has agreed to pay $4 million to a 23-year-old man who says police shoved a screwdriver into his behind.

The announcement came moments after a jury of nine women and men ruled that they believed Coprez Coffie over the two police officers who testified they had no idea where that screwdriver in their squad car's glove compartment came from.

BACKGROUND
Coffie did not tell anyone about the alleged assault until he got out of jail two days after his arrest and let his mother know.

Shortly after the arrest, Coffie filed a complaint with the police department, but it was found "unsustained," meaning the charges could not be proved. Investigators searched the officers' car, looking in the glove box and finding several screwdrivers the officers could not explain, according to Coffie's lawyers.

Investigators also swabbed the glove box. After Coffie filed his lawsuit in 2005, his lawyers said they hired a lab to test the swabs and found traces of a chemical found in feces. But a DNA test on the screwdrivers was inconclusive. There could have been numerous ways this trace chemical ended up in the glove box, how many of you actually wipe your glove box clean? How often? Years of grime building up. Officer's check those glove boxes, leave no seat UN-turned and guard your car. Don't get lax. We have been around long enough, to have seen items show up in vehicles after the inspection, watch your backs. There seems to be something seriously wrong with this claim, it just does not add up.

What irks us about this story are all the missing facts. What may have actually happened? The affidavit Tunney signed was more than likely an I-Bond-no cash needed bond. Bond saying its "extenuating circumstances" where citizens -- average citizens -- were allowed to pay a ticket and get their license back at police stations, is simply not factual. Bond needs to seriously brush up on her Bonds. You can't pay for a ticket at the station, you are allowed to post one of two types of bonds though.

Average citizens which now includes the Alderman Tunney story, have three choices on a traffic stop. Surrender your license and receive a ticket in exchange, present a Bond card and keep your license, or go into the station to post a Bond to get your license back within a limited time frame. The type of Bond I or 10% Cash of the fine, is determined by the Watch Commander, the Desk Sergeant and department directives.

Is it unusual for the Commander to get involved in certain cases, no its not. Its very apparent Commander Yamashiroya provided a courtesy service to the Alderman, which the average citizen may or may not get. After all it depends on the extenuating circumstance. Bond is misleading the media and presenting misinformation, which will only misguide citizens being stopped for traffic violations.

Now Bond, go and review why a highly paid Chicago Alderman could not have posted a 10% cash bond, like the average citizen. We gather it was possibly due to the extenuating circumstance, of Tunney being a Alderman. Or did Alderman Tunney post a cash Bond in his office to be carried back to the District Miss Bond? We doubt it, who would be foolish enough to even conduct such a transaction. We already know why Tunney made the call.

Tunney said an officer -- not the one who ticketed him -- brought the license to his ward office, and he had to sign an affidavit with conditions for getting the license back.

Yamashiroya was on vacation and couldn't be reached Monday, department spokeswoman Monique Bond said.

The returning of the license to Tunney's office will be reviewed, Bond said.

But she said there have been "extenuating circumstances" where citizens -- average citizens -- were allowed to pay a ticket and get their license back at police stations.

COPS AND FELONS RULE 47 LONG STANDING RULE

An African-American Chicago Police officer contends that a rule barring cops from associating with criminals discriminates against black officers.
Story in the Suntimes today. The officer argues the rule 47 is more restrictive on black officers because of the disproportionate number of African Americans who have had contact with the criminal justice system.

Officer Sylvia Broadway a 13 year veteran is placing her argument on the basis of rule 47 not being fair. Officer Broadway said in her To-From Report to a supervisor. "It is as though a deliberate trap has been set for African-American police officers."

Now we don't like seeing Officers lose their jobs, but since this Officer has gone to the media and put it out there, we can now add our views. The Officer is not correct in her views, for her attempted laid foundation. She knew this rule existed from jump street in the Academy and throughout her 13 years, and she didn't complain then. She complains only after she submitted her report to her Supervisor.

The interview looks more like an officer, trying to insulate from being brought up on potential charges of fraternizing with a felon, then it does about a discriminatory unfair rule. Especially with retired Pat Hill's name popping up in the mix.

This Officer would not be the first to have to explain why she's involved with a felon, and we doubt she will be the last. We were just wondering why she choose the incorrect Rules and Regulation book to recite from. Could it be?

Heard, 23, was shot five times early last Saturday in a drive-thru lane at a White Castle, Chicago police Sgt. Kevin Duffin said. He was pronounced dead at 7:35 a.m. on Oct 6,

Currently Police are questioning someone of interest in Ronald's death. Ronald came to the aid of a woman, who was being physically attacked by a man engaged in selling drugs at a White Castle restaurant drive thru.
Ronald lost his life in that heroic endeavor.

Ronald Heard was in a car waiting in line at 4 a.m. at 6901 S. Western Ave. when he was approached by the suspect, who asked if he wanted to buy marijuana, Duffin said. Heard said “No” and then watched the suspect approach a second car, asking a woman if she wanted any drugs.

The woman also declined and the suspect grabbed violently at her through the car window, Duffin said. When Heard went to help the woman, the offender shot him twice in the chest and then three times after he fell.

The suspect ran off, jumped into a vehicle and fled, Duffin said.

Is the Top Cop a PR stunt?

"Top cop can be an insider" Daley says. We don't recall Mayor Daley, ever saying an insider was incapable of being the next Top Cop for Chicago. Daley had three choices already put before him as this story in the Suntimes demonstrated on September 22, 2007 and Dana Starks was not in the final mix.

As the Chicago Sun-Times reported last month, the board has hired the Police Executive Research Forum to conduct the search triggered by Mayor Daley's decision to reject all three finalists recommended by the Police Board -- insiders Charles Williams and Hiram Grau and New Yorker Thomas Belfiore -- and ordering the board to start over.

"PERF will use its considerable contacts and expertise in assisting the board as it searches for additional highly qualified candidates throughout the nation, which is the mandate we received from the mayor," Police Board President Demetrius Carney said in a press release.

A few things on this current article in regard to Mayor Daley and sitting interim Superintendent Dana Starks. Daley is looking for a diffuser a buffer between the loudest Reverends and citizens coalitions currently active. These groups have always challenged Police, even when the Police make the right decisions and their always led by African American political Reverends, who use their pulpits for voter gathering and their Democrats.

In Chicago if you don't make a lot of noise and rumble up marches along with media scenes, your simply non-effective. Call it the Chicago way, its been going on for years. While some of these Reverends may believe their representing the underclass or the impoverished and its always their drumbeat. Another way to look at this unusual Church and Political connection in Chicago. Would be to view it as a fuel for the Democratic Machinations that have driven Chicago Politics, and its a good portion of the glue in Chicago Democratic style of politics. These churches bring in voters and they keep the Reverends in power, with a strong ear from City Hall. Daley does not want to see what his father saw during the 1968 Democratic Convention, where riots broke out across the city. This is the power these various coalitions have over Chicago. Votes from the pulpit and potential Civil Unrest denouncing the Police and costing Daley his perceived progressive democratic reputation.

Some may disagree that Dana Starks is capable of being a Superintendent and others will stand on his inability to be truly effective, due to the control the Mayor has on CPD. Dana Starks has been known to be effective in his crime fighting style going back to his Commander days. Some even say he was innovative in his style. Dana is also said to be balanced in his relationships within all races in the rank and file. None of this is an absolute, and Starks would still need to work progressively towards cleaning up the problems within CPD. He would have to work from within, all the way from the ranks of Management, lower ranks and Internal Affairs. He would also have to hold his Supervisors accountable, sending a clear message, that his Officer's complaints must be respected by their Managers. IAD would need to cease in their given practice, of almost always making cops the accountable culprit, when it comes to saving Managers and clouts backside who either simply don't want to do their job or find it easy to dial 312-fav-orit. When CPD cleans up the inside of its favoritism for all the wrong reasons, we will see some change in the actions on the outside in the public view. With Daley running the department and clout running rampant, we don't see it happening anytime soon. There are two sets of rules, one for the clouted and one for the non-clouted.

Does Stark have prior connections to the same Reverends? The same Reverends who have such a strong hold over the Mayor leaves one to question, can Dana actually be effective for any real change? Some say he is connected and his connections have helped him for a long while. Clout will continue to rule either way and that is a big portion of the problem. Eradicating a working unit does not solve the major problems CPD has festering inside. Its a temporary fix, and won't be effective in the long run. CPD's history has proven it. Very few step forward with the truth, all due to the price to be paid, which can last a full career of punishment from all sides. Just ask those good cops tagged Beefer, who have tried.

CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT REACTIONARY SOS PLUG

Did we hear right, Officer's going to the districts and more to IAD. We need them in the districts badly but what's with the IAD move? Blah, blah, we have seen and heard it before. IAD moves will have calls to make, then on with their promotions that follow. Anyone trust IAD and their scheming moves? Fairness at IAD, ha. Try cleaning out IAD, now there's a real challenge but that means really caring about your employee's, its easier to satisfy a public illusion.

Interim Superintendent Starks said, " its being done, in part, to restore public trust and confidence. Ha, o.k. sure, what ever. Anyone on this job with a lick of sense knew this reaction was coming. What happened to Gangs, was there an SOG once, what about that great internal Red Squad? Good luck guys and gals, just roll with the punches.

He also said this, "we cannot monitor every single police officer's behavior," Starks said. "But we can enforce accountability measures combined with a disciplinary process to demand that members at supervisory levels are held accountable. I am confident that this is a positive step forward." What, supervisory hasn't been held accountable in the past? That's what we thought, his words sure look good in print though. Don't hold your baited breath. When did they ever reverse the slide, you know what were referring to.

Eventually we will become really operational, eventually maybe.

SENATOR BOXER FAILS AMERICANS HALT ATTEMPT ON HOMELAND SECURITY RAIDS

California Democrat Senator Boxer is no stranger to controversy. This year alone she was exposed for accepting illegal campaign contributions from a Pakistani fugitive on the FBI’s most wanted list, unethically using her position as chair of a powerful Senate committee to raise money for her reelection campaign and introducing legislation to put 1.5 million illegal immigrant farm workers and their relatives on a path to United States citizenship by granting them immediate legal residency.

Boxer’s amendment goes on to say that Homeland Security officials have publicly stated that they will not even consider scaling back efforts to aggressively enforce federal immigration laws during the 2010 census. Therefore she felt it necessary to sneak the amendment into an unrelated spending bill.

Boxer’s amendment specifically calls on the Customs and Enforcement Bureau of the Department of Homeland Security to limit aggressive enforcement of federal immigration laws to promote full participation of non citizens in the census.

Boxer stated "as a member of the U.S. Senate. I am proud to serve the people of the State of California and all Americans." Is she kidding or what? Now there's a lie if we ever saw one, all Americans. She's attempting to trump our Homeland Security by sneaking in an amendment of cease action on raids to an unrelated spending bill, to serve whom again?

Argument Led to Wisconsin Deputy's Rampage

Pastor Bill Farr read a statement from Peterson's family in which relatives expressed their shock and sorrow.

"Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and their friends. We are grieving for your losses. We feel a tremendous amount of guilt and shame for the acts Tyler committed," it said.

"We may never receive the answers we all seek. Like those close to Tyler we are in shock and disbelief that he would do such terrible things. This was not the Tyler we knew and loved."

Police acknowledged Peterson received no psychological screening before being hired Sept. 11, 2006. His yearlong probation ended last month. Is psychological screening fool proof? No its not. If it were ex-officer Finnigan from SOS of CPD, never would had made it on this job. How many other Officer's, and boss's fall through the cracks? Not all commit murder but there are those among us who manage to make it through the pre-psychological testing. Its a walking text book.

Psychological testing is more of a liability shield, for municipalities to hide behind, than it is a proven standard for weeding out future potential problems. Peterson was 20 years old, his girlfriend was only 18. From appearances he still processed his thoughts closer, to being a teenager than an adult. Rejection played a very strong roll in his actions. He was also a part-time Officer with very little exposure. He felt an immense sense of rejection then remorse. Yes, he lost control and his loss ended in an enormous tragedy, all the way around. Could this tragedy have been prevented through pre-hiring psychological testing, we doubt it.

Kegley a friend and co-worker said Peterson came to his door about five hours after the rampage early Sunday and calmly told him what happened.

"He wasn't running around crazy or anything. He was very, very sorry for what he did," said Kegley, adding that he gave Peterson coffee and food and later made repeated calls to 911.

It was unclear whether Peterson was shot by police, took his own life or was wounded and then shot himself.

Tyler Peterson, 20, lost control when they got into an argument and her friends began calling him a "worthless pig," Mike Kegley told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The off-duty sheriff's deputy who shot six people at a pizza party told a friend he had gone to his ex-girlfriend's house hoping to patch up their relationship.

They keep expanding their demands on our soil and our President and Legislators keep helping them. There are laws for US citizens, then there are laws for Mexican Nationals in the US. Not that this appears as a new factor but this one beats the cake. Mexico with our very own President and Legislators HELP. Who just happen to be paid through our tax dollars are protecting Mexico's Nationals, to the extreme. By allowing Mexico to write and ordain our rules of law. UN needs to butt out and we need to get out. Lets us not leave out the equation of the richly NON-PROFIT private funded groups who are busy funding the civil society organizations, which also includes your tax dollars to usurp our very own US laws. Different strokes for different folks and a disemboweled lawless nation we are fast becoming.

The US removed 140,000 foreigners in FY03, including 76,000 criminal aliens. Many more, some 400,000, including 80,000 convicted of US crimes, have been ordered removed from the US, but are still in the country. Their number is estimated to grow by 40,000 a year.

Medellin was born in Mexico but spent much of his childhood in the United States. He was 18 in June 1993, when he and other members of the Black and Whites gang in Houston encountered two teenage girls on a railroad trestle.

The girls were gang-raped and strangled. Their bodies were found four days later.

Medellin gave a written confession. He was convicted of murder in the course of a sexual assault, a capital offense in Texas. A judge sentenced him to death in October 1994.

Medellin did not raise the lack of assistance from Mexican diplomats during his trial or sentencing. When he did claim his rights had been violated, Texas and federal courts turned him down because he had not objected at his trial. Mexico later sued the United States in the International Court of Justice in The Hague on behalf of Medellin and 50 other Mexicans on death row in the U.S.

Johnny Conlisk is as “Chicago” as they come. Both his father and grandfather were high ranking members of the Chicago Police Department. Many other family members have been Chicago Police officers as well. We hear they still are, Johnny is not.

For months before the big event, city officials planned how to lay out the red carpet for the convention delegates. The first Mayor Daley formed the Chicago Host Committee. Thousands of volunteers were assigned to help the various state delegates find their way around town and stay out of trouble. You had to be connected to get one of these fun jobs and I was connected. My father was the chief of police. It operates like this to this day within the Chicago Police Department. Taking care of inner connected clouted family members. Will it ever end?

Our first task was to greet delegates at O’Hare. We were issued candy striped vests and Styrofoam straw hats to identify us as Host Committee volunteers.

Jury trial continues for two Chicago police officers accused of assaulting a man with a screwdriver.

Defense attorneys asked whether the contamination could have come from accidental contact, like dirty hands.

Bommarito said he tested that theory, and doesn’t believe so.

Tests had indicated the presence of feces in the glove compartment.
We know this type of testing theory is not fool proof but the testimony does not help the officers in their battle if their innocent. On the flip side no identifiable fingerprints and the D-N-A testing was inconclusive. Were not familiar with these two Officer's. We have heard rumours, their innocent of the allegation.

We said long ago, Illegal immigration would fuel the Presidential election. The politicians running and the cities involved, need to wise up now. If your serious about terrorist threats and the need for funding, then make the choice. Either the illegal free for all or your funding. Your not entitled to it both ways. Twisting crafty words in these bills in an effort to get around the sanctuary is not going to work. Take the topic serious and cancel out blanket sanctuary or pay the ultimate price, loss of funding and election. Sanctuary cities open us up for terrorist threats, 1+1=2. Who are these politicians kidding, with their protect one protect all analogy. Sanctuary Cities also encourage the wrong element across the board. These policies are bent towards destroying the very fiber of a safe and decent way of life in this country.

Caught in what appeared to be an unusual Police Check Point. Angry motorist's who were caught up, felt workers from the Institute for Research and Evaluation bullied them for their blood and saliva for their own private research study. Were not in favor of this type of activity, any more than we are of allowing oneself or even your child to be using fingerprint swipes, to buy food or products from either stores or schools.
This is the newest twist to the phrase piece meal.

Motorists in Colorado are expressing outrage over a weekend stunt in Gilpin County, about an hour's drive west of Denver, where highway checkpoints were set up so a private organization could ask for samples of blood and saliva.

"I don't think they're authorized to do what they're doing, and I view it as a gross violation of law-enforcement protocol," Roberto Sequeira, 51, told reporters for the Denver Post.

He said he and his wife were "detained" for about 15 minutes even after they protested they wanted to get home because of a sleepy child in their car.

Sheriff's officials were apologizing after they helped set up and run five separate checkpoints over the weekend.

They said workers for the Institute for Research and Evaluation were overly persistent in their demands of innocent travelers.

"It was like a telemarketer that you couldn't hang up on," Undersheriff John Bayne told the newspaper.
